Horns and Halos – Ultimate Bullfighting
Horns and Halos will officially kickoff the 2026 Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo. Sanctioned by the Ultimate Bullfighters, this one-night exclusive event will feature 12 elite bullfighters in both individual and team competitions.
Gates open - 7 p.m.
Event starts - 8 p.m.
Night One of the Days of 47 Rodeo
5:00 pm Gates open to Fairpark – Mechanical bull, petting zoo, pony rides, food trucks, vendors, exhibits – No admission ticket required
6:00pm – 7:30pm – Live music in Fun Zone
7:00 p.m. - Gates to Days of ‘47 Arena open
8:00pm Opening Ceremonies – Performance 1 - bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding
10:30 pm Special Drone and Fireworks Show
After rodeo – 11:30 pm Live music in Fun Zone

Longhorn Cattle Drive through Heart of Salt Lake City
Begins at 9 a.m. and arrives at Utah State Fairpark between 10 and 10:15 a.m.

Blaze of ‘47 and Utah Mutton Busting Championships
Join us Saturday, July 19 for the official kickoff to the Utah Days of ‘47 Rodeo. What better way to kick things off than with a BBQ competition. We are partnering with R&R BBQ to host the Blaze of ‘47.
No ticket required, only pay for parking and food. We will have live music, kids inflatables, a cornhole competition, and shopping.
Come hungry and enjoy some of the best BBQ in the State!
