Gold Medal Round Taking Shape in Salt Lake City
The cowboys and cowgirls brought the heat during the third night of the 2026 Utah Days of ’47 Rodeo presented by Zions Bank. The field is taking shape for an exciting gold medal round on July 25.
The G.O.A.T. in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association barrel racing Lisa Lockhart took the victory lap on night No. 3 to earn her spot in the gold medal round. Lockhart of Oelrichs, S.D., stopped the clock in 17.14 seconds on Cutter to punch her ticket for a chance at gold in Salt Lake City.
Mutton Busting
Always a crowd favorite, the mutton busting gives the younger kids an opportunity to “Get Their Cowboy On.” Information on 2026 entries available now. Sign-ups June 6-July 4, 2026. *Note: all spots are currently filled for 2026 as of July 7, 2026.
Longhorn Cattle Drive
Watch Longhorns move through the streets of Salt Lake City to kickoff rodeo week. 2026 route will leave from Fairpark at 9 a.m down 300 N to 400 West to N. Temple (over bridge), right on 700 W to 200 N back to Fairpark - Click for map below
