  • Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for "The Rodeo Posse."

The Utah Days of ‘47 Rodeo is one of Utah’s longest-standing traditions celebrating Utah’s heritage since 1857. The rodeo, and other Days of ‘47 events, commemorate the day July 24, 1847 when a determined company of Mormon pioneers realized their dreams upon entering the Great Salt Valley.

This year, the Utah Days of '47 Rodeo will be held from July 21-25, 2026.

Once you sign-up for a shift you will receive an email confirmation with additional information. If you do not see it, please check your Junk email folder.

PLEASE NOTE: Each individual must complete the sign-up. No saving spots for a group allowed.

Our Volunteers are essential in creating this sense of community and heritage! The Days of ’47 Posse will be comprised of hard working volunteers from groups in the Salt Lake City community. Days of ‘47 promises to provide each volunteer with the tools, support, and training needed to effectively complete the expected tasks, and to be available as a resource for issues and questions leading up to and during the rodeo
